A Messy Christmas

We tend to believe that we need to have our lives worked out before we can be used by God or maybe to even to feel worthy of God’s love. However, the Bible is full of stories where God used messy situations to show his love to humanity. Bottom line, if you are still figuring things out, welcome to the club!

Pastor Dan projects this idea onto the Christmas story. We look at our Nativity sets and everything looks pretty clean and in order. If you focus in, you see the messiness of child birth and the social stigma of a fourteen year old girl having a child out of wedlock. 

Jesus used many messy situations to show us what the Kingdom of God was supposed to look like. His birth was no different.
