Run Toward the Roar
Pastor Dan Minor preaches on an old African proverb based on how lions hunt. The male lion’s roar is so loud that it can be heard from five miles away; however, that’s all he’s really good for as his big mane makes him stick out an a pretty bad hunter. The lionesses are actually the hunters of the Pride. They’ll be position themselves in the direction of the lion’s roar and wait for the prey to run away from the roar and right toward them.
Is there anything you’re running away from? When you run from things that scary you, you are actually running toward danger. As long as your back is turned toward the fear, and you don’t face it head on, you will always be heading in the direction of the thing you are trying to escape.
